Hermeneutics

A study of the application of Biblical principles in order to interpret the Word of God, including theological, historical, cultural, grammatical, and literary. An investigation of the use of typology, symbolism, prophecy, figures of speech including, and parables is included.

Bible Doctrines I
3 Credit Hours
A comprehensive study of the essential doctrines of the Scriptures from a Baptist, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation, dispensational perspective. This course deals primarily with the doctrines of Theology Proper (God), Christology (Christ), and Pneumatology (The Holy Spirit). The errors of Calvinistic (Reformed/Covenant) theology are exposed

Bible Doctrines II
3 Credit Hours
Continuation studies of the essential doctrines of the Scriptures from a Baptist, pre-millennial, pre-tribulation, dispensational perspective. This semester deals primarily with the doctrines of Anthropology (Man), Ecclesiology (The Church), Soteriology, Angelology (Angels), and Eschatology (Last Days). The errors of Calvinistic (Reformed/Covenant) theology are exposed.

Apologetics
3 Credit Hours
A demonstration of the reasoned arguments in justification of the Biblical rational for, and intellectual integrity of, the doctrines of Christianity.

BI 205
Bibliology
3 Credit Hours
Study of the materials, men and methods of the discipline of textual criticism. The contrasts between the Textus Receptus (TR), Critical Text (CT), and Majority Text (MajT) are explored in order to equip students with a the tools which to evaluate resultant translations/paraphrases from these texts.

Layers of Context in Scripture
3 Credit Hours
A Biblical methodology which approaches the study of Scripture from seven basic layers of context, thereby affording a larger picture of everything in the Bible.

Bible Geography
2 Credit Hours
An historic, geographical, political and topographical study of Palestine and Jerusalem from a biblical perspective. Historical locations of biblical importance are associated with corresponding Bible truths.

HI 344
BAPTIST HISTORY
3 Credits
A study of New Testament Baptists from the Apostolic Age to the present, with emphasis on organization, doctrine, and contribution to contemporary local NT church polity.

HI 410
HISTORY AND THEOLOGY OF REVIVAL
3 Credits
A survey of the historical data, and an in-depth analysis of the spiritual aspects of the revivals of the recent past, including the theological particulars, spiritual practice, and supernatural power of those who were participants in the various revivals.

MI 401
MISSIONARY BIOGRAPHIES
3 Credits
The lives of veteran missionaries are studied in an effort to learn from their experiences. This course may be taken as an independent research class.

Advanced studies designed to assist students to further their growth in the foundational principles of God’s Word. Subjects include: Apostasy, The Bride of Christ, The Crucified Life, Divorce, Education, Financial Freedom, The Gifts of the Spirit, Hell, Israel, Judging & Discerning, The Kingdom of God, Liberty, Liberalism, & License, The Mysteries of God

BAPTIST POLITY 
3 Credits
Principles of organization and administration of the local New Testament Baptist Church. Duties of the pastor and church officers are outlined. Baptist distinctives are defined, studied, and related to Christian Doctrine.
